Default HENDY Fords

Can anyone here point me in the right direction to find specifications on my rsi Mondeo. I understand that it is not generally considered as a true rs. But it is badged as an rs so to me it is :p The rego is L394VBP and is a citrine yellow saloon with black interior, traction control and adaptive damping. It also knocks the pants off the wifes standard citrine yellow hatchback. Any help would be greatly appreiciated

Was told to expect that sort of reply. Oh well never mind. Hendy ford sold it as an rsi so guess it is.

All I wanted was some information and thought I would find it on a site dedicated to anything rs

Guess I was mistaken

SO WHAT DOES DEFINE AN RS THEN M8

Think that was a bit harsh Kel. Personaly the only thing that makes an RS IMO is whether or not Ford have designated it an RS, nothing else.

Theres no common part, spec, colour, background etc that is shared between ALL the RS's to allow them to use the mark

IF (as i don't know much about the mondeos) Ford call this an RS and the logbook states RS then that's good enough for me. Even better is the fact that its a rare RS.

So welcome to the RSOC anglianut. Nice car although i bet the neighbours have trouble sleeping with all that citrine yellow on the driveway

Thanks m8. the logbook states it is an rsi. I know that Hendy ford only specced ten of these - five saloons and five hatchbacks this included a chipped zetec to 150bhp. hope to have a good search of this site soon to try and find out what actually defines a Ralleye Sport

Thanks for the welcome

Hendy also commissioned another fast Mondy which went and looked pretty mean! It wasn't an RS but had a number something like ST280. Only saw one in a kind of charcoal colour outside Hendy Portsmouth.

I'm sure I've seen your model in Pompey a few years back too.

I think there was a Feature in Fast ford about a year ago..... I thought the RSi mondeo was a dealer concept(Hendy's) and not a ford one? which could be why it's not greatly recieved as a true RS as only hendy's sold them and they was not available at other RS dealers....I did see 2 together this year at Stanford hall....

I agree, and Ford never did. it's was a Hendy thing only!!

Sorry for pointing out a fact , the RSi was a mondeo with all the RS options and a few more bits fitted at or for Hendy it was not a Factory inspired or built RS.

But the guy has been told what I said already by other peeps

as far as the RSOC is concerned any Ford model sold via its RS marque / branding (and my view... or Motorsport departments)
