Hi, as on pistonheads for sale at the min is the original power engineering demo car, supplied by passey & porter. The previous owner was from Weston super mere. I'm after any info on it's history if possible, I've been told it may have had some accident in it's past? But the car looks immaculate and very straight. Any info would be great

Yes the previous owner was from Devon, my boss currently owns it, he bought it off of him last year. Its up for sale due to lack of use, hence its got less than 49k on clock still. here is the link to the current advert. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2198042.htm

I personally do feel it is seriously overpriced for what it is; yep the 2400 conversion was a fantastic bit of kit but the torque levels are really high and low down the rev range and it will pull like a mule problem you have is parts as some have been known to bend rods if pushed to hard and these sort of parts will be very expensive to replace great car but be prepared for the scary side if it breaks

i remember a couple of years back we were sorting through some old parts and found some modded pistons, rods etc from the early mock ups of the PE 2.4 conversion, they were not a bad conversion back in the day, more of a touring power as opposed to a race engine, iirc the 2.4 conversion with a stage 3 setup & T34 was about £10k.
