PS3 yellow light of death!!!!!

Just had the yellow light of death come on the PS3! Had to happen on bank hol weekend

does anyone know anyone who can fix em? Don't fancy doing it myself with a heat gun etc

Ill fix it for you. Did mine a coulpe weeks ago no problem. There is a kit that you could buy eith all the bits on eBay for around £20.
Like i said though if you want me to give it a go then im more than happy to

Mine went recently too. Tried the heat gun thing which worked for about an hour! Gave in and bought a new slim.
Does anyone know how to get all the saved content from old hard drive onto the new system?

best thing to do would be throw it in a skip and buy an XBOX. so much better

Got an xbox, only gets used to watch DVDs or play forza or halo lol up the PS3!

I had this, the heat gun fix worked for a week. Consolewerks fixed mine and it lasted a week. Basically you need to get an external hard drive / usb stick, get it fixed, then go to the game menu in xmb, and scroll up to the game data and you will see the games you have, click triangle then copy to usb stick. Buy a slim, copy the game data off the usb stick onto PS3 hard drive after the game is installed.
