Default MY RS2000's Poorly!

Just started it up today (hasn't moved since Catton Hall on May 2nd).

Started fine (and was fine when I put it away), ran it till warm then switched off, went in Garage about 30 minutes later and could smell gearbox oil strongly - looked under car and there's a big pool of transmission oil

Will have a look tomorrow night to see root cause, hopefully will be fixed for this coming weekend!

she's just a bit sickly will get under it tomorrow and have a look, looks like it could be front g/box seal quickly looking underneath which means the clutch will be goosed 'an all

Can't see it being Driveshaft seal as it only piddled out while Engine was running.

B'stard Fords, I'm buying another Megane

He's been too busy playing with toys to look at the poor car!

Next meeting can be at his house and we'll have a 'fix it' session in his garage!!

No M8, its the transfer box, looks like its coming out the breather hose which means its pressurising as there was hardly any oil in when I just dropped the plug.

Francis said you'd taken a picture of your rusty hole to show me, I must admit I was miles off beam

Which ones that, the N-reg Half or the M-reg half

Yes m8, just answered your pm. It had come out the breather due to being overfilled, redone the oil on a four poster so car was level, never had issue since.
If doing at home with front end jacked up you must jack up the rear to the same height to keep car level.
