Hi all...
Just a quick note to let you all know what's happening in 2012. Following complaints about table bookings and general ill feeling toward the venue "Afon Conway" at Llandudno. We have managed to find a small independent pub that is willing to allow us to host our club nights there. A few of us scouted the NEW VENUE: The Grouse Inn, Carrog, Corwen, Denbighshire, LL21 9AT and found it to be very nice. It has a reasonable car park and a large outdoor seating area which is under cover. So spring/summer will be very good there we hope. The interior is a little small, but we think we'll fit and it'll be fine for us. The food also passed on multiple meals and then the Xmas meal too. A vote was passed on the Xmas meal night to change the venue to the Grouse Inn. For the bulk of the regular members its marginally more central and hopefully will be a success going forward. Also there is a new format for the monthly meeting date. The new date will be the 3rd Monday of the month from 7pm. This is to avoid Bank holidays which we all know caused traffic issues and often ruined our drives to/from the meet. Dates for 2012 club nights are as follows :- Monday 16th January. Monday 20th February Monday 19th March Monday 16th April Monday 21st May Monday 18th June Monday 16th July Monday 20th August Monday 17th September Monday 15th October Monday 19th November December Xmas Meal... TBA We kept it to a Monday as many members have other things on other days of the week that would stop them attending. So main points..... NEW DATE : 3rd Monday of the month from 7pm NEW VENUE: The Grouse Inn, Carrog, Corwen, Denbighshire, LL21 9AT New venue website.link:- http://www.thegrouseinncarrog.co.uk/ We plan to have all the usual shows booked well in advance this year, rolling road session and BBQ for a start off. New members always welcome and hope to see you all there. Regards, Rich Hipwell (Chairman - North Wales RSOC) Email - admin1@northwalesrsoc.co.uk Tel - 07786 133778 |
