Hello people just recently join the rsoc, i have just purchased a rs2000 mk6 4x4. I have a few things in mind on what to do to increase the Bhp/Torque, just wondering what advice you could give me. Because there are alot more members that have more knowlegde than me on these cars.
Any interest would be great thanks, Matt |

hello mate when i had my mk6 rs2000 2wd it had full magnex, superchip, pipercross cone filter had it rolling roaded and it made 165bhp with the cat still on fitted de-cat after and felt a bit better so somewhere around 170bhp, after that u would need cams and head work to get around 180ish then throttle boddies to break the 200bhp or maybe a bit of nos

Bolt on mods and tinkering with a healthy engine can produce up to 170bhp.
When I had mine... Panel filter upgrade/extra cold air feed/drilled air box (cone induction kit causes too much heat soak with these engines) Full ss exhaust with de-cat Remove the Aps system (Those pipes connected on your manifold) Superchip/Powerchip The next step is up to you if you want to extract more power from these as its not going to be cheap tbh You have the choice of converting to 2.3 which will give you a really nice slice of torque and prob around 185bhp, or you can opt to go for TB's on the standard engine which will give you the same sort of spec as the 2.3, mabey a little bit more. And of course you can stick a turbo on but you will be needing deep pockets. If you need any more info the speak to the guys over at www.rs2000-16v.com

Hi and welcome to the RSOC
![]() I currently have a 2.0 with Kent RS2001 cams, there a mild 270 degree profile, GSXR750 throttle bodies and Emerald ECU, and this made 178bhp with 154 lb/ft @7000rpm at HT Racing. With a 50 shot of nitrous things get even more interesting ![]() I have another 2.0L that i'm building up atm and it has a ported head, Piper 285 cams and hopefully a bigger diameter tube'd exhaust manifold, so 200bhp is my goal....... |

Thanks lads will try the smaller mods first if they dont please me obviously they will for a while lol, then maybe i might start going over board and fit a new engine etc. I think it has been chipped already so thats a decent start. I will let you no the progress.
How much do you think it would cost to turbo or to supercharge the engine?. Would be willing to save up for my little toy. An thanks again for your replys. |

Car sounds lovely m8, i would be exstatic with around 170 to 200 hp tops. After more work. Obviously will have to save some pennys up first cant just go and buy all the kit u have installed straight away lol.
Firstly ive just stripped the whole car on the inside to see if there is any internel rust found a tiny bit on one sill not a problem, the battery is half gone but expected that everywhere else were they have problems isnt to bad got to get it on a lift start inspecting big time then. Matt |

Well if anyone see's me at Ford Fair or National day ,and you have a passengers pass, then your more then welcome to ride shotgun
![]() I'm planning on swapping out the bike bodies for a set of Weber 40DCOE side drought carbs that I have made into throttle bodies. This gives me a better linkage, filter and ram pipe options, something thats not readily available for the bike bodies off the shelf. I have cut the webers down by over an inch in order to have enough working clearence to the bulkhead. I'll get some pic's up tomorrow
