The Series "X" this was package of options available from Ford RS dealers, the most drastic option was the full X-Pack body kit which allowed for 7.5" wide RS alloys to fitted which were also in the option list.

Included in the list was a complete upgrade kit for the 2.0 OHC engine to Group One specification. The kit compromised of new double down draught Carbs & air box, a Group 1 modified head, exhaust system giving the 100bhp of a standard RS2000 a usable new lease of power. The X-Pack kit of components was available for any Escort Mk2 in the range.
